CISA History

The CISA Tour was the collective brainchild of Don Archer and Guy Percy. Archer wanted to sharpen his own competitive skills and brought to then PGA Professional Percy his ideas. The CISA Tour began with a bang in 1996 and continues today. Several Charter Tour Members still belong today with a host of very welcome additions. Numerous Tour members and their wives come together each week to conduct events that all can enjoy. Their participation is truly appreciated. Like the twists we all experience in a round of golf, Percy and Archer nearly flipped careers. In 2004, Percy left a 20-year PGA career to work as a Financial Representative with Country Financial. Archer attained a lifetime dream and became a PGA of America member after age 60. Both gentlemen brought a passion to the CISA Tour operation.

In 2017 the tour was fortunate to have Ty Kinney and Jim Sunday, two long time members, take over the tour as Guy and Don stepped down. After three years at the helm they are passing the torch along in 2020 to Robert Coombs and John Sherman with the aspiration of continuing the vision of spirited competition and camaraderie of the founders of the CISA Tour.
